MFA's Response in Gaza

Starting September 2024, Multifaith Alliance (MFA) has brought together humanitarian organizations from across the region to safely and securely procure, transport, and deliver aid into northern and southern Gaza. Also called the MENA Aid initiative, each of MFA's partners is contributing their respective positioning and expertise to overcome the unique challenges of aid delivery in Gaza.

Before the ceasefire collapsed in March 2025, we directly provided more than 100,000 vulnerable families with:

Hygiene items – soap, disinfectants, shampoo, sanitary pads, toothpaste, wipes, diapers, tissues
Food – rice, pasta, flour, canned provisions, oil, cheese, eggs, fruits, vegetables, coffee, sugar, spices
Winterization supplies – clothing, shoes, tents and shelter kits, insulation materials, greenhouses
Essential materials – plates, cups, cutlery, garbage bags, cleaning products

Since resuming our field activities in late May, we have been steadily increasing our volume of deliveries to both northern and southern Gaza. As of July, MFA has been the only organization delivering ready-to-eat food baskets directly to families in need throughout northern Gaza; we are the only NGO outside of UN agencies with access in this area. We have also resumed activities in southern Gaza, prioritizing safe aid deliveries directly to vulnerable families.

Aid Distribution

When the ceasefire collapsed in March,
our efforts were halted until Israel lifted the blockade in late May 2025,
Since then, we have been steadily increasing our volume of deliveries to both northern and southern Gaza.
Since July, Multifaith Alliance (MFA) is the only organization delivering ready-to-eat food baskets directly to families in northern Gaza.
Thanks to our longstanding regional partnerships, we are operating a warehouse and our local staff receives, processes, and
quickly distributes the aid directly to families.
We remain the only NGO outside of UN agencies running field operations in this area.
Additionally, we have resumed activities in southern Gaza. We support the production of thousands of loaves of bread daily at the Abu Yousef Municipal Bakery, which we then deliver to displaced families in Nuseirat Camp.

What's Next?

We are continuing to identify opportunities for targeted humanitarian support. MFA's Aid's operational philosophy is the principle of complementarity, which aims to avoid duplication of efforts by thoroughly mapping existing programs & identifying service gaps.

MFA's Aid's commitment to supporting vulnerable, crisis-affected communities with direct support is fostering pathway toward recovery & stability throughout the region.

Since July 2025, MFA has expanded deliveries into northern Gaza and leveraged additional border crossings to increase our volume of deliveries. We have also established a recovery fund dedicated to post-war recovery efforts.
